Designed and Handcrafted in Arizona.
At Taber & Company, craftsmanship begins long before the first board is shaped or the first piece of iron is forged. It begins with a vision.
For decades, John Taber has collaborated with some of the nation's leading architects, interior designers, and luxury home builders, transforming ambitious concepts into extraordinary architectural environments. As an award-winning designer working with our team of master craftsman, John has built a reputation for creating work with an unwavering commitment to craftsmanship, materials, and timeless design.
Every project begins at our mill. We harvest, mill, and band our lumber before it enters the kiln, preserving the relationship between every board from a single tree. Unlike conventional woodworking, where lumber from multiple trees is mixed together, we keep each tree intact as its own collection of material. This allows us to carefully book-match and lay out the grain, color, and character throughout a project, creating a natural continuity that cannot be replicated with commercially sourced lumber. The same attention to detail extends throughout our process. We hand-forge our own ironwork, custom blend stain colors to achieve the precise tone each project requires, and finish every piece with our proprietary beeswax formula that enhances the depth, warmth, and the natural beauty of the old growth wood.
Projects range from traditional estates and mountain lodges to contemporary residences and luxury hospitality environments. Our work can be found in some of the country's most distinguished destinations, including The Cloister at Sea Island, Four Seasons Scottsdale, Desert Highlands Country Club, Talking Rock Country Club, The Wigwam, and luxury residences throughout California, Texas, Arizona, Montana, and beyond. Every piece is created to endure.
From the first cut at the mill to the final hand-applied finish, Taber & Company delivers craftsmanship without compromise.
